PROGRAMS AT TRINITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

PRESCHOOL

Along with learning the basic skills needed for reading, writing, and arithmetic, children learn about the world around them through creative exploration and play. Innovative Learning Centers are also used to enhance the learning experience of our prekindergarten students. Your child will learn of God’s love through Bible songs, stories, and lessons; interaction with warm, Christian teachers and staff; and through everyday experiences. Your child will flourish in an environment where home, church, and school partner together to “Train your child up in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Our Preschool Program lovingly ministers to children ages 18 months through age four and uses a reputable curriculum as its guide. A BEKA Curriculum is  a comprehensive, Biblically based, and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Throughout the years, A BEKA has proven itself by preparing children spiritually with Biblical truths; academically, with strong phonics and math skills; socially, through classmate interaction and dramatic play; and physically, through motor skill activities.

The Toddler and Preschool Programs are an excellent prep for our Junior Kindergarten Program, where a strong foundation in Phonics and Mathematics is built, and our Junior Kindergarteners are effective readers before they graduate to Senior Kindergarten!

Trinity Christian Preschool employs a wonderful Christian staff, who have given their life to Jesus Christ and are committed to using their gifts and abilities to educate and care for our preschool students. Having a natural love for children and teaching, our teachers bring many years of education and experience to the Prekindergarten Program. All of  our PreKindergarten Staff is CPR and First Aid certified, obtaining more than the required amount of continuing education hours each year, as well as completing extensive background checks. The parent/teacher/child relationship is so important to the success of each child, and the partnership is what makes Trinity Christian Preschool such a wonderful place for our families!

Art and music are an important part of our preschoolers’ day. Most of our learning is enhanced and reinforced through creativity, crafts, and music. Each year our preschoolers also take part in several all-school programs where they are able to showcase what they have learned in the classroom.

Our preschool children are active! There are opportunities each day to enjoy the playground, the gym, and fun physical activities in the classroom.

Trinity Christian Preschool is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education, Child Care Licensing Unit, Little Rock, Arkansas. We follow the licensing requirements for Child Care Centers in Arkansas. The licensing unit requires certain safety regulations which can be viewed on their website and are followed by Trinity Christian Preschool. ELEMENTARY

TCS is a collegiate school with a rigorous academic program that begins in the elementary grades. Each of our academic disciplines are designed to give students the skills and knowledge they need to not only be successful in their colleges and careers, but to be able to articulate truth in an intelligent and winsome way in the culture. Our Language Arts program emphasizes reading, writing, and grammar; Math is standards-based and vertically aligned through the grades; and Science and Social Studies are taught with Christian curriculum that emphasizes a biblical worldview. Our Bible classes from preschool through 12th grade give students an understanding of what’s in the Bible and how to apply to. Our goal at TCS is not only to help students think biblically and critically about every academic subject, but to understand God’s nature and character and how His Truth should relate to every area of their thinking and choices.

We believe the arts are important. As image bearers of God, creating beauty is one of the ways we are created in His likeness. TCS offers music and art in the younger grades, and all students take band in 6th grade with TCS providing the instruments for all students. Each year there are opportunities to perform musically and exhibitions of students’ artwork can often be seen around campus.

TCS understands the importance of getting students out of a classroom and into the gym or ball field. Students have opportunities each week to work on physical skills, play team games, and just have fun with our PE coaches.

JR & HIGH SCHOOL

TCS is collegiate in nature with a rigorous academic program.

We believe the arts and music are important, and when we create beauty we are reflecting the very nature of God as His image bearers. Electives in band and art are offered each semester for our junior high and high school students. Performance opportunities are available several times during the school year, and art students often have their art displayed throughout the school.

The goal of our athletic program is to provide our students with opportunities to use their God-given athletic abilities in a manner that glorifies Him. As well as working on athletic skills, our coaches encourage our students to grow in their spiritual lives, to develop social and moral character, to learn the value of team and competition, and to compete in a manner that reflects Christ. TCS plays (and is very competitive) in the 1A division of the AAA in Arkansas. Many of our students participate in several sports each school year. Our sports offerings include Cross Country, Basketball, Golf, Track and Field, Softball and Baseball.

No dicit menandri inimicus quo, ei his liber definiebas liberavisse, ad alii maluisset dignissim vel. Vix scripta accusam ut. Id sed veri simul democritum, ut ius inani sapientem.

One class period each week is set aside for our clubs. Our clubs are teacher-led and change each quarter. Club offerings vary widely and give our students the opportunity to choose an activity that they would enjoy. Some of our clubs have included chess, volleyball, board games, Bible study, science, robotics, and many others.

Forge is our high school leadership program and our mission is to mold young men and women into leaders who are confident in their faith, growing as leaders, have a practical and functional biblical worldview, are ready to serve as servants of Christ, and are prepared to take on any leadership roles assigned them. Each year our students spend time developing leadership and service skills and have a number of opportunities to use those skills in our school, in their churches, and in our community.

Chapel is an important part of our program , and our older students enjoy their own time of worship each week. Our students who have musical gifts lead the worship time each week, and our teachers and guest speakers provide messages that are pertinent to our students.
