 Pastor Thad Todd - Head of School 


Pastor Thad started his teaching career in Guam in 1992.  After four years of teaching high school history and business, he returned to the states to work in office management for four years.  In 2000, his family relocated to the Houston area where he was the principal of a Christian school for the next six years.  In 2006, he returned to school to work on his Master degree in Theology and Counseling.  While in seminary, he served as an assistant pastor at a local church.  After graduating from seminary, his family moved to Arizona where he was the head of school for seven years.  Pastor Thad has always had a part time military career.  He joined the Air National Guard in 1988 and served in logistics for twenty years. He was an enlisted member for several years and after receiving his commission in 2002 served as an officer.  In 2008, he became a professional officer serving as a chaplain.  Today, he serves as the Wing Chaplain at the 161st Air Refueling Wing in Phoenix.  He and his wife Angie have two grown daughters and are members of Trinity Baptist Church. He is excited to be the head of school at Trinity and enjoys assisting families in equipping their child with life skills while helping them to develop academically, spiritually, socially and physically.

 Stephanie Carver - Principal


 Stephanie Carver became a certified teacher through Texas A&M University-Texarkana in 2007 and received her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University-Jonesboro in 2012.   She spent the first 8 years in public education teaching first grade and later middle school math.  She enrolled her son at TCS in 2014 and became the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the campus. She is now serving as the K-12 Principal.  She considers herself greatly blessed to be apart of the TCS family where she can share the foundational Truth  that  “in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3) and that all things were created by Christ and for Christ. She says, “God has placed within me a desire to educate children according to His standards, and it is an honor to be in a position where I can endeavour to ensure Christ and His Word is preeminent in all areas of our school. Not only have I been given the opportunity to pursue God’s will in my life at TCS, I consider myself privileged to serve Christ alongside people who share the same calling and desire. God has a wonderful plan and and has given Trinity Christian School a great responsibility.  I look forward to seeing His hand continue to work in the lives of our students, parents, and staff.  May all that we do, all that we say, and all that we are bring honor and glory to Him!”

Mary Hollensworth - Preschool Director


Mary Hollensworth is delighted to be a member of the Trinity Christian School family, serving as the Preschool Director. She attended TCS from second grade until she graduated in 2003, and Trinity Baptist Church has always been her church home. Mary graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, concentration in Child Development. She has been married to Chris since 2008 and they have two daughters who attend Trinity Christian School. Mary says, “In Proverbs 22:6 we are called to ‘Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ God has placed an amazing responsibility on our shoulders as educators and parents, and I take no greater joy than in partnering with families to aid in the growth of their child as a whole- spiritually, intellectually, morally, socially, and physically.”

 Harris, Elyse - Director of Learning Support


 Elyse Harris has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with concentrations in Special Education and Early Childhood Development from Oral Roberts University and is  currently working on degrees in Administration and Curriculum and Instruction from ORU.  She and her husband Jacob have one daughter, Sophie.  Elyse enjoys enjoy spending time reading, traveling,cooking, going to the park, hanging out with the youth at her church where she and Jacob serve as the youth pastors, playing and loving on Sophia, and cuddling on the couch with her dogs Mia and Otis.  “I am at TCS because I believe that the first few years of a child's schooling shapes their entire educational mindset and love of learning, and at TCS that love of learning can be shaped by a christian worldview. If early on they can get a love for learning, the possibilities are endless for where God can take them in life!”

Barnes, Saralyn - Toddler


  Saralyn is a native of Texarkana, graduated from Arkansas High, and attended SAU for two years. Saralyn and her husband Cody have two small children. Mrs. Barnes grew up attending Trinity Baptist    Church with her family. She loves spending time with little ones, and is eager to see what God will do through her at Trinity.



Daly, Megan - Toddler


From the time Megan was 13 years old, she has known she wants to work with children. She began volunteering in a day care center at a young age and has been hooked on ministering to children ever since. Megan is a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoys coaching her younger sister’s softball team, and loves Mexican food and root beer.  She is excited to work with the TCS staff and to make a difference in the lives of her young students.



Jeane, Jessica - Toddler


 With over 15 years’ experience as a preschool teacher, Jessica Jeane is a great addition to our toddler department. Mrs. Jeane has been married for 12 years, and she and her husband Brandon have two daughters who attend TCS. The Jeanes are members of Beech Street Baptist Church. Jessica is an avid Razorback fan, a successful Destination  Imagination coach, a (not crazy) dance mom, and a teacher who loves to share God's Word


Latham, Holly -  Toddler


Holly has been married to her husband Aaron since 2008 and they have two children who attend TCS. As a Texarkana native, she attended Texarkana College and Texas A&M-Texarkana. She has a number of years experience working in early education and loves teaching Preschool. Holly and her family attend Cross View Baptist Church, and she enjoys amusement parks, eating Mexican food, spending time with her family, and watching her daughter play softball. She is excited to see God use her as she spends her days with our young Warriors.


Sumner, Ashley - Preschool


 Ashley Sumner is from Texarkana and has studied at Texarkana College. She has been married since 2005 to her husband Chuck and they have one child who attends Trinity Christian School. Ashley is a member of First Assembly and is active in the children’s ministry there. She is excited to have the opportunity to instill God’s Word into a child’s mind, heart and life on a daily basis in the TCS Preschool, and believes that Christian education is an optimal way to follow the principles of Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”


 Mullins, Joanie - Junior Kindergarten 


TCS is excited to have Joanie Mullins join our faculty this fall! Mrs. Mullins currently serves as the children's pastor at The Gospel Tabernacle in New Boston. She is a graduate of Texarkana College, and she and her husand Zac have three children. Joanie believes that showing the love of Christ to children is the ultimate privilege,and she cannot want to see what God will do for His Kingdom through TCS.



Andrews, Lindsey - Senior Kindergarten


 Lindsey Andrews was born and raised in Little Rock where she attended Central Arkansas Christian School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is certified to teach Pre-K through 4th grade. Lindsey and her husband Elliot have one young son. The Andrews' attend Trinity Baptist Church where Elliot is the Associate Worship Pastor. Lindsey is excited to teach at Trinity where she can show Christ’s love to her students through her example and by sharing God’s Word with them.

Boyd, Tena - Senior Kindergarten


Tena Boyd has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree from Texas A & M in Curriculum and Instruction. She has also completed the Alternative Certification Program and is certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade. She and her husband Jack were married in 1979 and they have two adult sons. She is an active member of Heritage Church Texarkana. Tena is excited to be on staff at Trinity as a Kindergarten teacher and to have the opportunity to share her love for learning and her love for the Lord with her young students.


Epperson, Rebecca - 1st Grade


Rebecca Epperson oined the TCS faculty full-time in 2016 after being a full-time substitute and part -time teacher teacher on our campus.  Mrs. Epperson is a graduate of  Henderson State, and she and her husband Brandon have 2 daughers who attend TCS. The Eppersons attend Anchor Church. Rebecca has enjoyed her roles as TCS parent and substitute teacher, and is eager and honored to serve the Lord at TCS as a 1st grade teacher. 


 Bunn, Whitney - 2nd Grade


Mrs. Whitney Bunn is a graduate of TAMUT with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She and her husband Jake have three young girls and attend Church on the Rock. Whitney has 5 years of classroom experience and is excited to be a part of the TCS staff.



Mudford, Deanna - 2nd Grade   


 Deanna. Mudford has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in School Counseling. She is certified to teach preschool through 4th grade and counsel children in preschool through 12th grade. She taught 7 years at Genoa Central Elementary, 2 years in 4th grade and 5 years in 3rd. She is a mother of two precious children and has been married to her husband for eleven years. “God wooed me to TCS through my children. It is my desire that they have a Christian education.”


Dovell, Callie - 3rd Grade


 Callie Dovell graduated from Texas A&M Texarkana with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.  She began her teaching career in 2009 and began teaching 3rd grade at TCS in the fall of 2015. She and her husband Elijah were married in 2004 and they have two sons who attend school at TCS.  She and her family attend church at First Baptist Church Texarkana. She loves spending time with her family, reading, camping, and traveling.  She feels blessed to be at Trinity and looks forward to seeing how God works in the lives and hearts of her students.


Frady, Amber - 4th Grade


Amber Frady is a native of North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies degree from Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina, and a Master’s of Arts in Christian Leadership from SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary. Amber attends Faith Assembly of God and serves on the worship team and teaches Missionettes for high school girls. She has previously served in our preschool and has directed the TCS summer camp. She is excited about teaching at TCS and investing in the lives of children. 

 Jones, Tracy - 5th, 6th Science, Social Studies, Bible


Tracy Jones graduated Cum Sum Luade from Liberty University December 2016 with a B. S. of Psychology for Christian Counseling. She joined TCS as a substitute teacher in 2016 and joined TCS as a full-time teacher in 2017. Tracy has worked with youth and children since 1994, and God has impressed upon her heart a calling to impact youth with the love of Christ. She enjoys teaching through a biblical worldview and encouraging students to face challenges and be successful in the classroom and in life. Tracy has been married to John for 26 years, is a mother of 3 sons, and has one granddaughter. Tracy and her family attend A Place ofMeeting Church in Hope where she serves as the Connection Team coordinator, assists with youth and children, and mentors youth, women, and married couples

Nelson, Holly - 4th Grade  


 Holly Nelson graduated Cum Laude from Henderson State University in 1991 with a B.S.E. in elementary education.  She holds Texas certification in Early Childhood, Elementary, and also in Middle School Social Studies.  She has been in the classroom for a total  of 11 years, with 8 of those at TCS.  She is married to Russ Nelson and has 3 children: Hannah, a 2014 graduated of TCS who is in her senior year at UCA on a full academic scholarship; Halah, a 2017 TCS graduate attending UCA also on a full academic scholarship; and Rhett, a 10th grader at TCS who runs cross country and was on the 2017 1A state champion track team where he set the state record in pole vault. She enjoys cooking and reading and looks forward to the yearly family trip to the beach.  She chooses to be at TCS because she loves getting to give God the glory during her teaching day for all his creation: the beauty of language, the orderliness of  mathematics and the complexity of His world.  It's also very handy when her darling son has forgotten to get something signed!

 Pete, Wendy - Elementary Music and Library, High School Health, Yearbook


Wendy Pete has her Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She also has her Master's Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She is certified in grades 1 through 8, and has been teaching for over 20 years. She began teaching at TCS in 2012. Wendy and her husband Bob, who serves as a Chaplain at FCI Texarkana, have one son who attends TCS. Mrs. Pete loves reading, music, camping, and crocheting blankets. She is here at TCS because she loves teaching at the same school where her son attends and Christ is proclaimed.                                                                                                        

Price, Caleb - Physical Education


Caleb Price graduated from SAU in Magnolia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science. He began teaching at TCS in the fall of 2014. Caleb and his wife were married in 2012 and attend Faith Assembly of God Church with their young son Ashton.  Caleb loves teaching at TCS because of the vision that God has placed in the hearts of the staff and administration to better the kingdom of God and to educate our students in God’s creation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Stewart, Marlyse - 5th, 6th ELA, Social Studies


Marlyse Stewart  graduated from East Texas State University in 1983 with a BS in education and a minor in English, as well as Kindergarten and Early Childhood endorsements.  Before coming to Trinity in the fall of 2015, she had 30 years experience teaching 4th Grade and 6th Grade Language Arts in the Liberty-Eylau ISD. She is  married to Garry Stewart, Sr. and their blended family consists of 4 grown sons, daughter-in-laws and 12 grandchildren. They worship at Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Stewart's most enjoyable times are spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and their numerous activities.  She is excited for the opportunity to join the staff and students of TCS and looks forward to sharing with her students.  "I truly believe it takes a village to raise our children, and I feel extremely blessed to be a part of the TCS family."

Baker, Jay - High School Math


Jay Baker graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1999 with a BA in Biblical Studies and Philosophy. He received his Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002. He plans to graduate in May 2018 from Henderson State University with his Masters of Arts in Teaching.

Jay is a church planter with the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. He is the pastor of Highland Hills Church in Texarkana. He is married to Michelle and they have four children at TCS. Jay enjoys driving his 1974 Corvette, hiking, and playing games with his kids. "I love how the TCS community encourages our students to live for Jesus."

Baker, Michelle - Spanish/Art


Michelle Baker graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2000 with a B.S.E. in Elementary Eduation and middle school Social Studies. She taught five years before deciding to stay at home with her children;  this is her second year back in the classroom. Michelle is married to Jay Baker and they have four children at TCS. She loves to spend time with her family, reading and traveling. Michelle and her family attend Highland Hills Baptist Church where Jay is a church planter and the pastor.

Bishop, Coach Josh


Coach Bishop graduated from Tri-Sate College in 2004 and began his coaching and athletic director career in Little Rock 2005. In 2009 he moved to Texarkana to pastor a church in Wake Village and eventually returned to coaching at TCS in 2016. Coach Bishop currently also serves as the associate pastor of Downtown First Baptist Church. He and his wife Tommie have six children.



Fellers, Deann - Junior High English, College and Career


“English has always been a passion of mine, so no one was surprised when I became an English teacher!”  Mrs. Fellers graduated high school in 1989 and then completed her BS in English Language Arts at East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M-Texarkana, in 1994.  She holds her Texas certification in 6th-12th English. After graduation, she briefly taught at a local public school until she was hired as the Junior High English teacher for TCS in 1995.  She worked for two years and then decided to stay home with her children until they were school age.  In 2004, she resumed teaching Junior High English at TCS which is the primary position she currently holds.  Mrs. Fellers is married to Ron, and they have two children, Reagan and Reid, who have grown up at TCS.  “I absolutely love teaching at TCS because I firmly believe God has called me to impact these future Christian leaders with a strong academic background in order for them to effectively engage the culture around them with the gospel of Christ.”

Glover, Gary - High School Bible


Gary Glover has his BS in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and his MA in Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary. He is currently completing his dissertation for a Doctorate in Biblical Studies degree, also from Trinity Theological Seminary. Mr. Glover has been teaching at TCS since 2009. He and his wife Shirley have two married children, Ashley and Jason, and three grandchildren. He has been a Bible teacher for many years and is currently the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Texarkana. Gary enjoys reading, particularly the Bible; watching sports, particularly Razorback football; and playing with his grandchildren.

 Huskey, Sharon - High School Math and Guidance Counselor 


Sharon Huskey received her BSE in mathematics from Arkansas State University in 1984 and MS in school counseling in 2004 from Texas A&M, Texarkana. She is certified in middle school and secondary math and in K-12 counseling. This is her 33rd year in education, 12 years in public schools and the last 21 at Trinity Christian Schools. She has been married to Keith Huskey for 33 years. They have one child, Caleb, who attends TCS. They are active members of Northern Hills Baptist Church, where she gets to participate in one of her favorite activities, singing! She sings in the choir and solos as well. She also teaches the Rachel Ladies Sunday School class. Sharon loves to read, sing, and cook. She is at TCS because God opened a door many years ago to allow her to work in a Christian school. Mrs. Huskey believes He placed her here and this is her place of ministry. “My heart is here at TCS!”

 Jones, John - Band Director.


John Jones is a native of Hope and a graduate of Henderson State. He was a band directorin Arkansas and Texas for 28 years before retiring from full-time teaching. John and his wifeTracy have three sons and a granddaughter. He and hs family attend church at A Place of Meeting in Hope where he is a musician on the worship team.



Dr. Rose, Craig - High School Science and Discipleship 


Craig Rose has been teaching science at TCS since 2006, and has been involved in education since 1990. He earned a B.S. in Marine Biology from Eckerd College, an M.S. in Botany from the University of South Florida, and a Ph.D. in Biology from Florida International University. He is a published researcher scientist in the field of nearshore marine ecology and has spoken at numerous science conferences. Dr. Rose is also a pastor at a local church (Community Church Texarkana), loves to coach soccer, and has been heavily involved in missions. He takes several mission trips each year, and currently leads our high school mission trips to Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, each March. He and his wife Tonya have two teenage daughters. "I am here at TCS because I believe that when Jesus said to go make disciples, His intention for us is to make disciples wherever we are and in whatever we are doing. Teaching at a Christian school is a great opportunity to make disciples and see God's work being done."

Smith, Jonnie - Secondary History and Basketball Coach        


 Coach Smith began teaching at TCS in 2013.  Originally from Olathe, Kansas, Coach Smith spent 19 years coaching basketball at Olathe Christian School.  There he split his time between coaching the girls varsity and the boys.  He has also coached varsity volleyball, soccer, and 8-man football. Coach Smith has also been teaching social studies classes for the past 12 years.  He graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with his bachelors and then complete his Master's at MNU as well. He is certified in 7th-12th Social Studies.


Todd, Angie - High School English, Speech, Learning Lab


Mrs. Todd has twenty-eight years of experience as an educator across several grades and has participated in a variety of educational instructional models such as multi-grade classrooms, team teaching, student teacher supervision, and mentoring of newly hired teachers. She has also worked as a substitute teacher in a number of school districts for both public and charter schools.  In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Todd served as program director for several different educational support programs and completed training for the National Institute of Learning Development educational therapy program. Mrs. Todd began her teaching career on the elementary level and currently teaches high school students English/Language Arts and Speech. She and her husband Thad have two grown daughters and are members of Trinity Baptist Church.
